New: Lock Screen iOS VPN widget
With iOS 16, Apple introduced Lock Screen widgets for iPhone. Missing the old VPN indicator in the status bar? VPN Tracker now brings you a Lock Screen iOS VPN widget with a live status view, so you can toggle your VPN connection instantly.
How it works
- Tap and hold your Lock Screen and tap Customise
- Open the Widgets library

Add the VPN Tracker widget from the widget library
- Tap to insert the VPN Tracker widget
- Tap the widget to choose a connection (e.g. “Home” or “Office”)

Choose a VPN connection
- Use the widget to toggle your connection on and off. The “on” indicator shows your current status:

Add a VPN Tracker Home Screen widget on iPhone for quick access to up to six connections. Choose from three widget styles depending on how many networks you need.

Choose your top 3 connections - great for switching between offices

Choose your top 6 connections - great for consultants or power users
How it works
- Tap and hold your Home Screen
- Tap the + icon to add a new Widget
- Find VPN Tracker and choose from one of 3 new Widget styles
- Tap the new Widget to select your VPN connection(s)
VPN on Demand for iOS (VIP + Consultant)

The new VPN on Demand for iOS — available in VPN Tracker VIP and Consultant plans — automatically detects when you open services that require VPN and connects instantly. It’s the easiest way to connect on demand VPN iPhone without extra steps.

How does VPN on Demand work?
AutoConnect On Demand uses the DNS search domains configured for your connection. Once enabled, your last used VPN will automatically connect whenever you access a site or app that matches those domains.
- Open VPN Tracker on your iPhone
- Go to Settings > Connection Settings
- Enable On Demand for Search Domains

Once enabled, VPN Tracker will connect automatically whenever you open VPN-dependent services — giving you seamless, secure access without interruptions.
